OCEAN STATE POETS
MALCOM DAVIDSON
Malcolm Davidson began writing poetry in his mid 40's and enjoys it as good balance for the left side of his engineering focused brain. He is an active participant in OSP activities and was part of a small group that ran a poetry workshop at the ACI in Cranston every two weeks. He also shared his work at two Assisted Living homes, one in Middletown, the other in Providence.
In addition to writing poetry his creativity propelled him to writing a musical about corporate corruption. Some of the songs from this can be heard at www.companymatters-themusical.com. He works as a software consultant and enjoys his travels which take him all over the globe"

Nothing Required
Deep inside I’m not sure what’s there blood, muscles, bones, arteries, further in I imagine, neurons firing, brain stuff or maybe it’s in the heart itself this place where nothing is required no cars or flashy jewelry no TV, Facebook money not needed everything is free in here the place of the soul imagination No boob jobs facelifts, or medications necessary Creations bubble up as if by magic Joy untrammeled swirls whirlpools of ecstasy gambol in their own field of dreams laughter emanates from this palace of inner being. Nothing is required but merely the acceptance of self. Malcolm F. Davidson May 11th 2012 |
